Icon star Allu Arjun’s ‘Pushpa The Rise’ was a huge success at the Indian Box office. The film collected over Rs 300 crore in revenue and stood as the biggest hit of 2021. While Bunny fans are cheering on the film, public speaker and Padma Shri award recipient Garikapati Narasimha Rao has now slammed the Allu Arjun and director Sukumar for the way the character of a smuggler was shaped.
Garikipati Narasimha Rao, on the trend of good and bad happening in the society, said that the motive behind projecting a red sander smuggler as a hero is not good for society. He sought an explanation from the movie team for glorifying a smuggler as a hero.
“Pushpa’s ‘Thaggede Le’ swag and attitude are spoiling youngsters. Someone might be inspired to physically assault people and say ‘Thaggede Le’ as if it were an achievement. I would like to lecture the hero and director of the movie if they come to me,” Garikapati said.
“Due to such dialogues, crime is on the rise in the society. He should be like Harishchandra. Otherwise, he should be called like Sri Ramachandra. What kind of dialogue does a smuggler use?” he added.
However, a section of people is supporting Garikapati’s comments while Allu Arjun’s fans are trolling the spiritual speaker, saying that it was just a film and there is nothing serious to worry about it.
