Even in the wave of YSRCP across Andhra Pradesh, Ganta Srinivasa Rao, won as an MLA in Vishakhapatnam North on TDP ticket. Now the reports are rife that he is all set to leave the party and jump into the ruling party soon.
Ganta is identified for jumping into the ruling parties, no matter, whichever the party is. After TDP lost power in the elections, he tried to jump into YSRCP, but Vishakha minister Avanthi Srinivas did not agree to it. Later, Ganta also tried to find a space in BJP, by taking along 10 more MLAs from TDP. But for some unknown reasons, he could not do it.

But finally, Ganta managed to convince Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy for joining in YSRCP. Though there are few allegations on Ganta, considering his popularity in Vishakha and own cadre, Jagan is anticipating that it would benefit his party. As the local polls are arriving, Ganta’s entry could help the party more. So the young CM is happy with Ganta’s interest on the ruling party.
Meanwhile, Avanthi Srinivas is objecting Ganta’s decision. So Jagan is planning to make the TDP leader resign for his MLA post and later send him to Rajya Sabha in April. Thus Ganta will lose connectivity with the state politics and Avanthi will not have the right to oppose him. Reportedly, even Ganta agreed to the plan and will soon join the YSRCP in the presence of Jagan.
