The second wave of Covid-19 has infected several prominent people across India. The deadly virus has also taken the lives of thousands and now four journalists from the Telugu States, including veteran scribe K. Amarnath, died of the virus on Tuesday.
Amarnath was a senior journalist and former Press Council of India member. He died while undergoing treatment at a hospital in Hyderabad. He began his career as a sub-editor in ‘Soviet Bhoomi’. Later, he worked with Visalandhara, Andhra Bhoomi and Hans India. Before that, he was a staff member of the UPSC for 10 years.
Chief Ministers of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana YS Jagan Reddy and KCR, condoled the death of the veteran journalist.
Apart from him, three more journalists, Suryaprakash from Visakhapatnam, B Ramesh from Vemulawada and P. Rajesh from Karimnagar also succumbed to Covid-19.
