It is known that Telugu Desam Party chief Chandrababu Naidu is currently serving his 14-day remand period at the central jail in Rajahmundry. He had filed for a quash petition in the high court, asking for a complete disregard of the whole case.
The high court asked the CID to come with a counter argument for the case and postponed the next hearing to next Tuesday.
Incidentally, the high court then ordered the CID not to interrogate Chandrababu till Monday. The next hearing will be on Tuesday and the CID has now been asked not to interrogate CBN till the day before.
Naidu now has some minor relief in the court as he has escaped the CID investigation for the next few days. It has to be seen what will be the court’s verdict on Tuesday. The court has asked for statements from both councils in regard to this case.
