Congress leader and relief and rehabilitation minister Vijay Wadettiwar had declared that the government of Maharashtra is planning for lockdown unlocking plan on the basis of two parameters: ‘the weekly positivity rate’ and ‘percentage of occupancy of oxygen beds’.
Lesser the positivity rate and occupancy of oxygen bedss, more would be the relaxation in that particular district. However, the Maharashtra government stated that these proposals are still under review and haven’t been issued yet by chief minister Uddhav Thackeray.
Level 3 comprises of urban areas and locale that have a week by week positivity rate of 5-10% or oxygen bed inhabitance of over 40%. Mumbai falls under this class since its weekly covid positivity rate is 5.56% while the bed occupancy is 32.51%. As per the norms, film makers will not be permitted to continue activities for places under Level 3.
Be that as it may, shootings can be continued. Notwithstanding, one should stringently adhere to specific principles: the shoots will not occur in crowdy places. Further, no development will be permitted outside after 5 pm on non-weekend days and no permits on weekends whatsoever.
Also for cities and districts that fall under Level 2 (comprising weekly positivity rate below 5% and oxygen bed occupancy between 25 and 40%), theatres and malls can operate at 50% occupancy.
Now film makers are breathing a sigh of relief and hoping that they can restart the shoots.
