Popular film critic and actor Kathi Mahesh has passed away on Saturday. He met with an accident last month while driving on the Chennai-Kolkata National Highway in Kodavalur Mandal in Nellore district.
He was severely injured in the accident and was being treated at Apollo Hospital in Chennai. Although some reports claimed that he was responding to treatment and out of danger, the latest news confirming his death shocked the Telugu film industry.
It is worthy to mention that the Andhra Pradesh government had donated a whopping Rs 17 lakh from the CM relief fund for the treatment of Kathi Mahesh. However, he did not survive.
Kathi Mahesh became popular with his fine reviews on Telugu cinema. He also landed in many controversies and became a topic of discussion in Telugu states. He took part in season one of Bigg Boss Telugu, besides appearing in films like Hrudaya Kaleyam and Kobbari Matta.
