Pelli Choopulu remake rights were sold to Gautam Menon long time ago and he in turn sold it to Koneru Satyanarayana of A Studios that made the hit film Rakshasudu.
Now we hear that the film stars Harish Kalyan and Priya Bhavani Shankar and it is slated to go on floors in the second week of next month.
Vishnu Vishal was the original choice but he began demanding star heroines like Tamannah and Kajal.
The producers did put some sense into him that such star heroines don’t suit the subject but he was adamant.
So out went Vishnu Vishal and then came in Harish Kalyan. Harish Kalyan is the same actor who played a guest role in Nani starrer Jersey in the climax.
