When Maharashtra’s Chief Minster Uddhav Thackeray announced his resignation last night, he took the entire nation by total shock. Not everyone has come out from the announcement yet, but the new CM of the state has already been announced.
Eknath Shinde has been announced as the new Chief Minsiter of Maharashtra and is set to swear in as the CM at 7:30 PM today. He is said to have enough strength and support to form a new government without much hassle.
On the other hand, Thackeray announced his resignation on his Facebook live last night, saying that he saw no point in opposing the floor test today, which would only result in a blood bath, and hence decided that it was the best option for him to go out on his own terms, with his self-respect still intact.
