A four-year-old drugs case of Tollywood celebrities is back in the news again. Enforcement Directorate has summoned 12 Tollywood celebrities in connection with the alleged drug case.
Notices have been sent to stars to attend the trial, which will take place from August 31st to September 22. The latest information is that notices have been issued to Ravi Teja, Puri Jagannadh, Charmi, Rana, Rakul Preet Singh, Navdeep, Mumaith Khan, Tarun and Nandu. The ED also summoned the excise department officers who investigated the case.
An inquiry into the alleged involvement in the drugs case has been going on for years after the arrest of drug suppliers Alex and Kelvin. The case, which had remained silent for years, is now grabbing the attention yet again.
As per reports, Puri Jagannadh was asked to appear on August 31, Rakul on September 6, Rana on September 8 and Ravi Teja on September 9. Mumaith Khan was asked to appear on November 15.
It is learned that notices have also been issued to Kannada heroines Sanjana and Ragini Dwivedi, who were earlier accused in the drugs case.
