A lot of states in the country have made it compulsory for those who are travelling from the state of Andhra Pradesh, to take an e-pass. Several other states have even banned travelling to and from Andhra Pradesh, due to the ever-increasing number of coronavirus cases in the state.
Now, AP DGP Gautam Sawang has announced that it is mandatory for everyone travelling to other states from Andhra Pradesh need to get an e-pass without fail, on the Police Seva App. This will greatly benefit those travelling to Chennai, Bangalore and Hyderabad for better treatment. With the second wave of Coronavirus showing no signs of slowing down anytime soon, introducing an e-pass is the best option, given that people will have to travel on an emergency basis sometimes.
On the other hand, Sawang said that the decision of whether or not to extend the partial lockdown in Andhra Pradesh after May 18th will be taken on the basis of the situations and circumstances prevailing during those times, after conducting a review meeting, and said that nothing can be said about that now.
Until further information, Sawang said that no political or private meetings will be allowed in the state. He also clarified that those wishing to conduct functions should take prior permission, and said that Section 144 will be in effect all over AP until further orders.
