Director Koratala Shiva after delivering a blockbuster hit of NTR starrer Janatha garage, was eyeing to write a story that would have much wider impact pan India.
Insiders from the industry reveal to us that the director had plans to foray into Bollywood. Interestingly, while penning the story ‘Acharya’, Koratala initially considered a B town star for the project. Credible sources report that the director was imagining Super star Big B while developing the plot for Acharya and decided to even approach him for the lead role.
But producer Sudhakar who is a good companion of Koratala Shiva heard this news and immediately suggested him to opt for Megastar Chiranjeevi. Since the duo already have been planning Allu Arjun’s tentatively tilted venture #AA 21, both of them carry a good rapport.
The director took Sudhakar’s advice positively and soon changed his mind as he too wanted to do a film with Chiranjeevi since so long. Dear film buffs, it appears to be a wise decision. Don’t you think so!?
Acharya is an upcoming film starring Chiranjeevi, Ram Charan and kajal in pivotal roles. The motion poster released on the 65th’s birthday of megastar on 22nd August, gained a lot of traction across the south India.
Acharya is produced by Chiranjeevi’s home production house, Konidela production company. This film also marks the reunion of Chiranjeevi and music director Manisharma after a long hiatus.
