During the second wave of Covid-19, we are witnessing many heart-wrenching incidents across the country. One such tragic incident has come to light from Rajasthan’s Barmer, where a 34-year-old grieving woman jumped into the funeral pyre of her father, who died after contracting Coronavirus.
As per reports, Damodardas Sharda, 73, died at a hospital in Rajasthan’s Barmer district on Tuesday because of the virus.
While the body was being cremated, the youngest of his three daughters, Chandra Sharda, suddenly jumped on the pyre and sustained around 70 percent burn injuries.
She was rushed to a nearby hospital and is now being treated at a hospital in Jodhpur. Damodardas Sharda, a native of Barmer, was admitted to the district hospital on Sunday after testing positive for Coronavirus. He breathed his last on Tuesday.
