In a tragic incident, twenty-five Covid-19 patients died at Jaipur Golden Hospital in Delhi because of a shortage of oxygen.
As per reports, the hospital had run out of its oxygen stock leading to the deaths of patients. MD D K Baluja has appealed to the authority in the national capital to provide oxygen at the earliest.
According to the hospital, “A supply of 3.5 metric tonnes of oxygen was supposed to reach by 5 p.m. yesterday. But it reached around midnight. By then, 25 patients had died.”
MD of the hospital, Dr D.K. Baluja tweeted on Saturday morning, “Jaipur Golden Hospital still waiting for oxygen. As many as 215 Covid patients depend on the hospital. Get supply ASAP. Please help, we are desperate.”
Along with Jaipur Golden Hospital, SGRH, Moolchand Hospital, Batra Hospital, on Saturday, sent SOS messages announcing shortage of oxygen and appealed to the government to provide it at the earliest.
