A tragic incident has come to the fore, a housewife, Adilakshmi (27), committed suicide by consuming pesticide in Netiguntla Palle village of Punganur Mandal on Tuesday. She took this step after reportedly quarreling with her husband. The money received through the Amma Vodi scheme announced to her, and her husband was demanding money.

Disturbed by her husband’s behavior and torture, the woman reportedly consumed pesticides and fainted. The neighbor saw him on Tuesday and shifted him to a government hospital in Punganur. When his condition deteriorated, she referred to Madanapalli Area Hospital, but she died before reaching the hospital.
The Punganur police have registered a case and taken the accused into custody.
