It seems like Chandrababu Naidu is in a very desperate situation to gain an upper hand on the AP Chief Minster Jagan Mohan Reddy one way or another.
It is known that the main opposition Telugu Desam Party (TDP) on Tuesday decided to field its candidate for the March 26 Rajya Sabha biennial election from Andhra Pradesh though it lacks the requisite numbers to win a seat.
Naidu named party general secretary Varla Ramaiah as its candidate for the Rajya Sabha election. Now after taking this daring step to everyone’s surprise Naidu doesn’t want to lose this opportunity.
He already announced that the TDP MLAs will be issued Vip and they should show it to the agent before casting their vote.
CBN also said that the leaders who fail to follow this criterion will get suspended from the party. CBN has 40 years of political experience but it seems like he don’t know this thing that issuing the VIPs to the MLAs will only be allowed in assembly polls and not for the Rajya Sabha elections.
Already three of the 23 TDP MLAs were shifted to YSRCP and Naidu is not sure if the remaining MLAs will vote in the favour of their candidate. Hence he is using the words vip and suspension out of desperation.
