Former IPS officer RS Praveen Kumar recently took voluntary retirement from his job, as he said that he wants to get into politics and serve the people of the state. Since the very beginning, Praveen Kumar has been stressing that his ultimate aim is to make sure that the Dalit community gets power over the state.
While Praveen Kumar was an IPS officer, he worked in the Department of Social Welfare for the last nine years and took charge of government gurukuls. He also constantly endorsed the ideology of SWAERO and even promoted it. Once Praveen announced his plans of entering politics, every leading party tried to get him into their party, but Praveen chose to be a part of the BSP.
Praveen doesn’t seem to be scared to attack CM KCR no matter what and is constantly saying that if not now, then the Dalits will never be able to get into power. He is also saying that he has no money, and is asking the people to join him out of their willingness to bring about change. The BSP doesn’t have a lot of following in either of the Telugu states, which is a big barrier for Praveen, as he would have to highly impress the people of the state to get any votes at all, even from the Dalit community. Given that candidates who aren’t given tickets in major parties are represented by the BSP symbol, it is now to be seen how many votes Praveen will be able to manage.
