Nandamuri Balakrishna, a seasoned star in the Telugu film industry, has enjoyed immense popularity for years. Despite his success, he faces challenges in two regions: Nizam and the USA’s Overseas market. His film “Akhanda” marked his triumphant return to the box office.
His upcoming movie, “Bhagavanth Kesari,” has generated significant excitement among audiences and trade circles. Surprisingly, its Nizam and Ceeded rights were sold for a modest 14Cr.
Conventionally, Nizam rights for other actors exceed Ceeded by a large margin, but Balakrishna’s Nizam performance improved post “Akhanda.” The film “Veera Simha Reddy” also opened strongly in the USA but couldn’t maintain momentum due to mixed reviews. Balakrishna is yet to achieve a 20Cr share in Nizam and 2 million dollars in Overseas.
With Director Anil Ravipudi’s reputation, “Bhagavanth Kesari” holds potential in both Nizam and Overseas markets. The question remains whether Balakrishna will conquer these territories, building on his recent successes.
