While the Centre is trying to convince the protesters that Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) is not to hurt Muslims, Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani’s latest statements are now creating fresh disturbances.
Addressing a rally in Ahmedabad, Vijay said that Muslims have 150 other Islamic countries, but India is the only country for Hindus. He further added that in Pakistan, only 3 per cent Hindus are residing out of the total 22 per cent at the time of partition. As Hindus are keen to reside in India, the BJP government is ready for it, he said sparking new controversy.
Not stopping there, Vijay clarified that his government is going to implement the CAA under any circumstances. Meanwhile CAA protests in Delhi and few other parts of the world is picking up the intensity even though the government is trying to calm down the issue from time to time.

Numerous leaders like DMK Chief Stalin, Chidambaram and several others took part in the protest and got arrested. But it seems, the issue is not going to get a conclusion unless the Centre comes up with a strong statement.
