Hyderabad: After witnessing forestalling of buses for over five months, bus stations and bus bays across the city have now began creating a vibrant atmosphere. City sees bus travel continue to rise during this Dussehra vacation.
The Telangana State Road Transport Corporation is currently arranging 3,000 special buses from Hyderabad to different areas in Maharashtra, Karnataka and the state itself. 2,000 buses have operated in the last couple of days and are scheduled to continue.
Buses to Warangal and Yadadri-Bhongir will reach Uppal crossroads. Passengers planning to travel to Miryalguda, Nalgonda and Kodad will need to board the bus at Dilsukhnagar temporarily. While Jubilee Bus Station (JBS) is the junction for those heading to Karimnagar, Nizamabad, Adilabad and Medak.
The corporation officials have notified the passengers to do advance booking of tickets on the website, www.tsrtconline.in. For enquiries and information on buses, one can call 8330933537 (MGBS), 040-27802203 (JBS), 04023747297 (Dilsukhnagar) and 9949958578 (Ameerpet).
Nonetheless, it turns out to be a setback for those who had planned for a voyage to Andhra Pradesh for the festival, as there are no special buses employed from Hyderabad due to an ongoing conflict over facilitation of equal number of services between TSRTC and APSRTC.
