Much to the shock of TDP, four Rajya Sabha MPs of the party have joined the BJP. Regarding this, They also met Rajya Sabha chairman Venkaiah Naidu and submitted their resignation from the TDP.
TG Venkatesh, Garikapati Rammohan Rao, CM Ramesh and Sujana Chowdary are out of TDP now. Out of the total 6 Rajya Sabha MPs of the party, now only Seetharama Lakshmi and Kanakamedala Ravindra Kumar are going to continue with TDP.

In a letter to Venkaiah Naidu, the MPs wrote that they were, “inspired and encouraged by the impeccable leadership of Narendra Modi” and were hence merging with the BJP. All the four MPs have urged Venkaiah Naidu to recognize them as a separate group in RS, and allot them separate bench.
As of now, none of the MPs are available to the media, unwilling to invite any criticism from the TDP. The party sources on the other side are claiming that the MPs have completed the the entire process in the absence of Chandrababu Naidu and are thus playing smart.
BJP had been aiming to end TDP’s politics in AP. The things are going bad between Modi and Naidu for quite some time. While the position of TDP is already miserable after the elections, at this point of time four MPs leaving the party and that too shifting to BJP is being considered as one of the major blows, TDP had every faced in its political history.
