Karthi’s Sulthan which hit the big screens yesterday is being termed a proper commercial mass masala entertainer. We felt the film has the right ingredients to please the masses and that is showing in the film’s opening day numbers at the box office.
Karthi posted his career’s second-best numbers with Sulthan as the film got off to a strong start at the box office.
Here is the region-wise box office numbers of Sulthan:
Nizam: Rs 42 lakhs share
Ceeded: Rs 18 lakhs
UA: Rs 14 lakhs
East: Rs 10 lakhs
West: Rs 7.43 lakhs
Guntur: Rs 10 lakhs
Krishna: Rs 11.5 lakhs
Nellore: Rs 5.2 lakhs
Total Andhra Pradesh – Telangana collections: Rs 1.17 crores share.
With a reasonably good word of mouth, Sulthan might well post pretty solid numbers over the weekend. Mass elements and the presence of happening beauty Rashmika Mandanna seem to be working in the film’s favour.
Karthi’s Kashmora collected Rs 2.11 crores share on its opening day in the Telugu states and Sulthan is second on the list now with Rs 1.17 crores share.
