Telugu Desam Party chief Nara Chandrababu Naidu, who won with a massive majority in the 2014 elections, lost out very badly in the 2019 elections, after he changed his national alliance, and due to the failure of some of the TDP’s government’s schemes, during their term. Chandrababu’s alliance with the Congress did more bad to him than good, as it only worsened the party’s stance in the state.
Now, Bharatiya Janata Party Rajya Sabha member GVL Narasimha Rao has said that Telangana Chief Minister KCR would become the Chandrababu Naidu of Telangana, predicting that the TRS would lose out badly in the 2023 elections, mostly due to KCR’s national political ambitions. KCR has been very busily meeting with prominent politicians of the opposition parties across the country for quite some time now.
After the BJP picked up momentum in Telangana, the TRS started aggressively going against the BJP, with KCR even bad-mouthing PM Modi on several occasions. While KCR is not affiliated to any other party on the national front, not being aligned with the BJP and the NDA might cause serious damage for him.
