The Bharatiya Janata Party and the Telangana Rashtra Samithi were in good relations with each other until a few months ago. However, things have become very strained between the two parties for the past several months, with Telangana Chief Minister KCR waging an all out war against BJP and even against PM Modi. In the wake of this, it comes as a rather shocking development, that four TRS MLAs were found at the farmhouse of a BJP member, located in Aziznagar, on the outskirts of Hyderabad.
The Cyberabad police commissioner, Stephen Ravindra, said that the raid was conducted at the farmhouse based on the information they got from other TRS MLAs. During the raid, the police department seized cash worth Rs. 15 Crores from three people who were said to be from Delhi, Tirupati, and Hyderabad, respectively. The four MLAs that the BJP members were reportedly trying to buy were: Achampet MLA Guvvala Balaraju, Kollapur MLA Beeram Harshvardhan Reddy, Pinapaka MLA Rega Kantha Rao, and Tandur MLA Pilot Rohit Reddy.
These MLAs were reportedly contacted by some people from Delhi, who have been staying at the farmhouse for the last two days. The Cyberabad police department is now said to be interrogating the accused, who have been taken into custody, regarding who sent them and who is behind them. The accused include Ramachandra Bharati of Faridabad, Simha Yaji from Tirupati, and Nandakumar, a hotelier from Amberpet of Hyderabad; all of whom are said to be close associates of Union minister G Kishan Reddy.
