The high command of the Bharatiya Janata Party is reportedly upset with the resignations in the Telangana wing of the party. Recently, key leaders like Mothkupalli Narasimhulu, a prominent Dalit leader from Nalgonda district and E Peddi Reddy from Huzurabad in Karimnagar district quit the BJP and joined the Telangana Rashtra Samithi. While Etela Rajender’s entry into BJP was a celebratory thing for the party, the exit of two key leaders is threatening to the entire party.
Apart from that, there are several reports that various other ministers are planning to join the Congress Party, following the call given by TPCC Chief Revanth Reddy. As a result, BJP National General Secretary Santosh, on Saturday, conveyed to the members of the Telangana BJP about the displeasure of the High Command, at the BJP National Mahila Morcha at the state BJP office.
He questioned why the Telangana party leaders were not as active in other constituencies as they were in Huzurabad, and why they are being indifferent to all of these resignations. He is said to have asked the party members to take the party to the grassroots levels of the state, and to involve the youth in the state in all the party activities.
