After PV Sindhu created history earlier today by winning bronze in the Tokyo Olympics 2021, the Indian Hockey team scripted a historic feat. Indian men’s hockey team qualified for semi-finals in the Olympics after 41 long years.
The men in blue defeated Great Britain 3-1 in today’s quarter-finals and progressed into the semi’s with this emphatic victory.
The last time the Indian Hockey team went past the quarter-finals stage, they went on to win the gold medal. This took place back in 1980 at the Moscow Olympics.
Indian Hockey team has the golden opportunity of creating history again this year at the Tokyo Olympics. Two more victories and the Indian hockey team will script history by winning the gold medal again.
