The Bharatiya Janata Party has become a force to be reckoned with, in the last few years, after winning the general elections for 2 back to back terms, in the national level. The BJP has also emerged victorious once again in hte recently held Bihar elections, once again proving that there’s no stopping the party anytime soon.
However, despite its many victories all over India, the BJP has not been able to find a stronghold for itself in either of the 2 Telugu states. But looks like that’s about to change as well, if the victory of the BJP in the recently held Dubbaka by-elections is anything to go by.
The BJP has now appointed an incharge for the Andhra Pradesh BJP, Senior party leader from Kerala and Union minister of state for parliamentary affairs V Muraleedharan, and Sunil Deodhar remains to be the co-incharge of AP BJP. Muraleedharan is the same man who led the BJP’s protests in Sabarimala all those years ago, and is known to be very aggressive in his approach. The BJP is reportedly hoping to use his experience and talents towards gaining popularity in Andhra Pradesh.
The BJP has appointed Tarun Chugh, a senior party leader from Punjab, as the in-charge of party affairs in Telangana. Tarun was recently made one of the national general secretaries and is said to be quite experienced in handling crisis situations.
With these steps, it is now to be seen if the BJP will be able to achieve its goal of gaining a popularity in the 2 Telugu states after all this while.
