The captaincy task came to an end on the 61st day, when Bigg Boss announced that the game has been paused. The game was paused because Geetu, from the Red team, who died, stole Adi Reddy’s t-shirt the previous night, while the game was on pause, and gave it to her team members, who removed the blue strips from the t-shirt the next day. Bigg Boss reprimanded Geetu for doing so, because she wasn’t supposed to take part in the game as she was dead. This meant that Adi Reddy was alive, but since he threw away his mic in a fit of rage, he was announced dead.
The game was a tie between the Red and Blue teams, with two people being dead in both the teams. The leaders of the Red and Blue teams were then asked to announce three candidates from their team, who would contest in the final task for captaincy. Satya, Geetu and Faima turned out to be the contenders from the Red team, while Marina, Vasanthi and Inaya turned out to be the contenders from the Blue team.
The contenders were then given a balloon each, and the person who would manage to stand with their balloon in tact, till the end, would be the captain. Adi Reddy became the umpire for this task. In the end, Sri Satya’s balloon remained intact, and making her the new captain, and the second female captain of the house.
