Nandamuri Balakrishna tried something new with Bhagavanth Kesari. He tried his hand at social drama with this Anil Ravipudi directorial and it has now backfired.
On the opening day, this film collected less than what Chiranjeevi’s disaster film Bholaa Shankar could and this shows its plight.
The film plummeted big time over the weekend as the Saturday numbers are way below par. The bookings for Sunday are decent for now.
However, given the big stakes and investments involved, it wouldn’t be an easy task for Bhagavanth Kesari to get to the break even mark.
It has to be seen how the film will fare in the second weekend to estimate the degree of losses, says a film box office tracker who works closely with Tollywood.
Anil Ravipudi has now gone cold with F3 and Bhagavanth Kesari. The lack of mass appeal for the Balakrishna starrer has undone the prospects for the film.
