Bangladesh Cricket team created history by defeating Australia in the third T20I and won its first-ever T20I series against the Kangaroos.
After defeating the visitors by 10 runs in the third T20I, the hosts took a secure lead of 3-0 in the five-match T20I series against Australia.
However, this is the eighth consecutive defeat for Australia while chasing in the T20I format. Their last victorious T20I chase was during the three-match T20I series against England last year.
Australia has lost all five short format series they’ve played in the last 12 months – against England, India, New Zealand, West Indies and now Bangladesh. They have succeeded only five of the 19 matches they’ve engaged in those series, with just two wins coming with the series on the line.
Only Zimbabwe (10 defeats in 2010-2013 and 2016-2019) and Sri Lanka (9 losses in 2019-2021) had longer failing streaks than the Kangaroos while chasing in T20Is.
