Nandamuri Balakrishna is facing the heat on social media for his controversial remarks on legendary music composer AR Rahman.
”Who is AR Rahman? I don’t know who he is? He scores one hit in a decade and happened to receive Oscar,” he said.
Balakrishna went on to say that India’s highest civilian award, Bharat Ratna is equal to the toenail of his father and renowned actor Sr NTR.
Balayya’s controversial comments on Rahman have sparked an outrage on Twitter and the hashtag #WhoIsBalakrishna is trending on the platform since this morning. Rahman’s fans are breathing fire on Balakrishna for belittling India’s finest music composer.
Coming back to Balakrishna’s statements, he went on to say that Sr NTR was the one who taught Sri Devi how to act. He opined that any award is inferior in front of Sr NTR.
Balakrishna is yet to react to the social media criticism he has been receiving for his comments on Rahman.
