It is an open fact that TDP lost its base in Telangana. The assembly elections held in 2018, proved the same. The humiliating result in the elections, has made TDP Chief Chandrababu Naidu, avoid contesting in the TS Lok Sabha elections.
But, Naidu has now decided to make his party candidate contest in the upcoming By-election in Huzurnagar constituency. While Chava Kiranmai, has been picked as the candidate, Naidu is now planning to bring Nandamuri Suhasini, into the picture.
Earlier in the assembly elections, Naidu offered her Kukatpally ticket, anticipating that the death of Harikrishna, would bring the sympathy votes to TDP. But, surprisingly, Kukatpally people, who were identified to be the dedicated voters of Telugu Desam, picked a TRS candidate and thus Suhasini had to face the defeat.

Now, to campaign on behalf of Chava Kiranmai in Huzurnagar, Naidu is considering Suhasini has the right option. Even Nandamuri Balakrishna, is set to campaign for the TDP candidate in Huzurnagar soon. While Suhasini herself lost the election and Balayya is known to fumble his words in the public meetings, how far, the duo would support the already weak Telangana TDP, is to be seen.
Meanwhile, the major competition in Huzurnagar by-election is only between the TRS and Congress. Any other party could only break the votes by a very minimum percentage.
