The Andhra Pradesh High Court on Wednesday suspended the GO issued by the state government appointing special invitees to the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD) Trust Board. The government has appointed a governing body with 25 members in the TTD. The Jagan government wanted to appoint others in the name of special invitees along with them.
To this extent, GO 245 appointing 28 members to the Trust Board, GO 568 appointing 50 members as special invitees and GO 569 appointing two others as ex-officio members were released. Three Public Interest Litigations (PILs) have been filed in the High Court challenging the GOs issued to constitute the TTD Trust Board.
BJP leader G Bhanuprakash Reddy, TDP leader M Umamaheswara Naidu and Hindu Jansakhati Samkshema Sangham founder K Lalit Kumar have challenged the formation of a jumbo ruling party in the TTD.
