The Andhra Pradesh government has announced huge incentives for consensus in the upcoming panchayat elections.
The government issued orders to this effect. The government announced the incentives to create a congenial atmosphere in the villages.
Rs 10 lakh will be given to panchayats with a population of less than 2,000 to 5,000 and Rs 15 lakh to panchayats with a population of less than 5,000 to 10,000. It will also provide an incentive of Rs 20 lakh to panchayats with a population of over 10,000.
State Chief Minister Secretary Aditya Nath Das has directed the authorities to publicize these incentives in the wake of the current panchayat elections.
The consensus is that the people should stand on one word and elect the sarpanch and ward members without any election in the villages.
