Until now, everyone was of the opinion that the YSRCP government seizes lands that belong to the members of the opposition, or those belonging to the TDP. However, the YSRCP government now shocked everyone, after seizing lands that belong to Machilipatnam MP Vallabhaneni Balasouri.
Back in 2009, the YS Rajasekhar Reddy government had allotted 84- acres of land to Kineta Power Projects, Pvt Ltd. owned by Balasouri. Thermal power was to be produced in this power plant, which would have served the electric demands of all the people of the state of Andhra Pradesh, if the power plant was now ready.
More than 10 years later, the power plant has not even been started yet, and neither can one see any evidence of the power plant being started any time soon. Back in 2009 itself, an estimation of 2,997 Crores was done, as the amount that would cost for the establishing of the power plant.
Notices had been sent to Balasouri three times, over the fact that the land has not been used by him for the purpose that it was allotted to him. Balasouri failed to respond to any of these notices though, because of which the lands have now been seized.
Balasouri often ran into a lot of trouble previously too, over the dispute of these lands that were allotted to him, but were not made use of.
