As Hyderabad will cease to be the united capital of the Telugu states from the 4th of June, the government of AP has been asked to vacate the buildings in Telangana.
A week before Hyderabad ceases to be the common capital, the office of the Andhra Pradesh Electricity Regulatory Commission (APERC) has been shifted to Kurnool from Hyderabad. APERC chairman Justice CV Nagarjuna Reddy on Thursday inaugurated its new office in Kurnool city.
The decision to shift the operations of APERC to Kurnool was taken in view of Te-langana govt’s notice to vacate all buildings occupied by the AP govt in Hyderabad before June 2, when Hyderabad would cease to be the common capital of the two states as per AP Bifurcation Act. All APERC employees have been asked to relocate to Kurnool in the next few days.
In a week or, all the AP government buildings will be shifted to AP.
