On Wednesday Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy launched another flagship scheme called YSR Cheyutha to aid and promote self reliance among women entrepreneurs.
Under this scheme, 23 lakh SC, ST, BC and other minority communities’ women in the age group of of 45-60 years will receive Rs 18,750 for each annum conglomerating to Rs 75,000 consistently for four years from the administration. The government would require 17000 crore to be allocated under this scheme.
The Chief Minister notified, “Around 8 lakh widows and single women in the age group of 45-60 years, who are as of now accepting month to month social annuities, would likewise receive the extra reward of YSR Cheyutha”.
Earlier in view of the scheme, the YS Jagan-government sealed a deal with megacorps like Proctor and Gamble, Anand Milk Union Limited (AMUL), Hindustan Unilever Limited (HUL), Reliance and India Tobacco Limited (ITC) to leverage the potential opportunities to beneficiaries.
Under this unique scheme, the companies will empower women by providing information about marketing and nitty gritty of technical things, thereby propelling the economic progress.
