Anushka’s Nishabdham is all set for a direct digital release and the makers have commenced talks with Amazon Prime Video, say reports.
As per reliable sources, the digital rights of Amazon Prime have been sold to Amazon prime for around Rs 25 crores.
Initially, there were rumors that Anushka and Kona Venkat are against a direct OTT release, but the issue seems to have been resolved now. The producer TG Vishwa Prasad decided to go the OTT way owing to uncertainty regarding theatrical business.
Apparently, Nishabdham will be out on Amazon Prime in the second week of September and related works are being carried out at a rapid pace.
An official announcement regarding Nishabdham’s OTT release will be made soon.
With theaters set to remain shut for an indefinite period of time, makers of mid-range films are planning to go the OTT way.
