On the name of the Rayalaseema lift irrigation project, the AP government has decided to lift the more number of TMCs of water from the Sangameswaram which will provide irrigational water for the entire Rayalaseema along with Nellore and Prakasham districts. This issue has been raised by the Telangana government after their opposition used it as a political weapon to attack the KCR’s government.
Now, after a detailed investigation, the Krishna River Board has concluded that the construction of the Rayalaseema Lift Irrigation project is contrary to the norms proposed under the partition act. The KRMB said that under section 84, Schedule 11, Paragraph 7th, the AP government has violated the rules under the partition act.
The KRMB reported the same to the PMs office asserting that the increase in the capacity of the Lift Irrigation Project in Rayalaseema is clearly unethical. So, everyone is criticizing Jagan for his monarchial decisions that disturb the harmony between the AP and Telangana and the state’s relations with the center.
This is not the first time Jagan has misused his power and in many previous instances his stubbornness proved costly for the AP people and now as the Lift Irrigation project’s construction is about halfway, if the center orders to halt the work, all the money and the efforts that were spent in this project goes in vain. Is there any way for Jagan to know his limitations and rules?
