A letter written by the BJP MP who is also a Rajya Sabha member from Andhra Pradesh has become a sensation now. He simply stated that the Andhra Pradesh state went bankrupt and its economic well-being has deteriorated over the past few months. Though NDA and YSRCP haven’t been in an alliance, it is known that YSRCP has been supporting all the bills of the former in Lok Sabha.
Under such circumstances, BJP MP Suresh Prabhu wrote a letter to centre that the economic state of AP is very bad and cited that Jagan’s controversial decisions have been the major reason for this situation. Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman and Commerce Minister Piyush Goel were sent these letters.
Suresh Prabhu alleged that special corporations were being set up by Jagan Mohan Reddy for 56 castes and their funds were being diverted to welfare schemes. He said the AP government was making loans for the implementation of the welfare schemes beyond the limit of FRBM.
It has to be noted that BJP MP Suresh Prabhu wrote a letter to the Center just hours after the Assembly on Tuesday approved a bill to amend the FRBM Act of 2005. The AP government has amended the law to increase the existing 3 per cent debt limit to 5 per cent. On the day the bill was passed, the BJP’s writing of these twisted letters was the talk of the town. However, the YCP has not yet responded to Suresh Prabhu’s letter yet.
