Akhil Akkineni’s Agent has turned out to be one of the biggest box office disasters of all time in the Telugu market with record losses for a mid range film.
The makers proudly claimed that the production costs of Agent are over Rs 80 crores and sadly for those involved, the film couldn’t even collect 10% of the proposed budget through the theatrical market.
The film has closed its box office run with less than Rs 7 crores share worldwide and this is one of the worst tallies for a big budget mid range film.
With this, Akhil enters the record books for the wrong reason of setting one of the biggest loss ventures in the history of Tollywood. He should be a worried man now, given the extent of Agent disaster.
