Kollywood‘s veteran actor Mansoor Ali Khan on Monday was hospitalised for kidney stones. He has undergone several tests and will be prepared for surgery in Chennai soon.
Earlier, Mansoor was booked for spreading misinformation on the Covid-19 vaccine. He claimed that there was no certainty about the ingredients used for the vaccine and criticised the government for fooling people. He also linked the untimely demise of actor Vivek with the Coronavirus vaccine. However, Mansoor was granted bail by the Madras High Court. The actor was also asked to pay a fine of Rs 2 lakh to the Health Secretary.
The police booked him at the Vadapalani police station under sections 153, 270, 505 (1) 505 (1) (b) as well as provisions of the Epidemic Diseases Act and National Disaster Management Act.
