Harley Davidson is one of the top most beloved brands among bike lovers in the world. Although it is famous for its uniqueness, it did not gain much popularity in India. Recently, Harley Davidson announced shutting down its plant in Haryana and has ended its whole business in India. But looks like Harley Davidson is coming back to the Indian market through a new deal with Hero MotoCorp.
As per the sources, Harley Davidson made an agreement with Hero MotoCorp to develop and sell in India. That means Hero MotoCorp will develop a range of premium motorcycles and sell under the Harley Davidson brand name. With this, Hero will become the official distributor of Harley Davidson bikes in the country. Apart from sales, Hero will also handle the service network for Harley in India.
Previously Hero MotoCorp is known for its famous Hero Honda brand under the joint venture of Hero MotoCorp and Japanese company Honda. It was a pretty successful venture that time and the Indian bike manufacturer is hoping to make its deal with Harley Davidson on similar lines.
