Janasena’s only MLA Rapaka Varaprasad is all set to join the ruling YSRCP, the reports say.
For the kind of response, the public meetings of Janasena has witnessed, the new party was anticipated to make it big in the state.
Though not forming the government, it was at least considered to be the king maker in the elections. But shockingly, the Janasena has been restricted to a single seat in the assembly, with the party chief itself losing in both the constituencies he contested from.
As the party was unable to show any impact on the public, several anticipated that even Rapaka Varaprasad, who won from Razole constituency, would soon join YSRCP. When asked about the same, he strictly denied any such intentions and confidently said that he would stick to Janasena.
But the reports are rife that, Varaprasad has recently met Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy and involved in a discussion with him.
If at all, Varaprasad jumps into YSRCP, then Janasena will lose the chance to represent its party in the assembly which could be a tight jolt to the party. While Jagan announced that he is not going to encourage any party defectors, it should be seen whether he would accept Varaprasad in his party or not.
