The first session of the Andhra Pradesh state legislative assembly has been started today. YSRCP Chief Jagan Mohan Reddy, who boycotted the earlier assembly sessions as an opposition leader, now entered into the assembly in the position of the Chief Minister of the state.
On the other side, TDP Chief Chandrababu Naidu, who earlier attended sessions as the CM, now had to sit in the place allocated to the opposition leader, as the party had to face a miserable defeat in the assembly and Lok Sabha elections. While it is first time for Jagan to enter assembly as CM, Naidu had the experience of entering both as CM and opposition leader, several times in the past.
YSRCP is expected to dominate the assembly sessions completely, as the ruling party has 151 MLAs on its side, leaving just 23 MLAs to TDP. Reportedly, Jagan has planned to attack TDP on the alleged corruption in the Amaravathi capital city and irrigation projects.
Even the ruling party MLAs are eager to take revenge on TDP in the assembly, considering the earlier attacks, the Naidu’s party MLAs made. So it should be seen, how Naidu and his team use their years of experience to counter attack YSRCP.
