It was in the news that Allari Naresh will be the part of Disco Raja and play a key role opposite Ravi Teja. The role was initially offered to Sunil, but after Naresh impressed with his performance in the recent blockbuster Maharshi, the makers thought of substituting Sunil with him.
The last three films of Ravi Teja- Touch Chesi Chudu, Nela Ticket and Amar Akbar Anthony, have been registered as failures at the box office. Adding to it, the combination of Naresh and Ravi Teja did not work earlier, in Shambho Shiva Shambho movie. So the makers are now considering it as a sentiment and unwilling to repeat the result, they are now planning to retain Sunil in Disco Raja
VI Anand, who is known for his prestigious works like Rangam, Oka Kshanam etc, is directing Disco Raja. RX 100 fame Payal Rajput is playing the female lead. The film is expected to hit the theaters in December.
