JSR Annamayya, a 25-year-old Hyderabad techie, shares his unique solution to curb Covid-19. He claims that he succeeded in Andhra Pradesh and hopes to expand his workable model soon in Telangana and across the nation.
JSR first grabbed the attention when he cofounded a web app titled ‘CheckCovidnow’ along with two of his friends. It notifies users regarding the potential risk and symptoms through web application contact tracing and equips them with self-assessment tools.
People who have symptomatic and asymptomatic behaviour can easily check their health condition via the web app. It also precisely tracks data of highly vulnerable patients with Covid-19 symptoms. Ever since it was launched on March 26, 10,000+ users so far have began using it. As it progressed, Annamayya has spearheaded a volunteer team of 100 youngsters in AP called A to Z Quick response team (QRT) that manages 26 questions and responds within a hour via whatsapp.
“Mask usage was at 92% in the areas where we campaigned, the highest in town because of awareness with 3D corona stop boards. We have facilitated 30 plasma donations by collaborating with blood banks.”
The innovative idea to make telephone numbers of the authorities publicly available gave a ray of hope to people, says Annamayya, who recently bagged the ‘Best Thinker for Covid19 solutions’ award by World Youth Organization. He recently sent his ideas to Government of India.
