The events that took place in the last one week have resulted in a great political turmoil in Andhra Pradesh, and heated up religion driven politics in the state. The burning of Antarvedi Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy temple’s chariot sent a shock wave throughout the state of AP, in the hearts of common people and political leaders alike.

Many opposition leaders have said that the burning of the Antarvedi chariot is a direct act against the Hindu religion, and said that incidents like this are happening because of Japan’s government, which is the least bit bothered about the Hindu religion.

Several TDP leaders have now decided to protest in Temples all over the state of AP, in retaliation to the acts being performed against the Hindu religion. Bonda Uma, a former MLA from Vijayawada has called for the protest, and reiterated the statement that these atrocities are taking place against the Hindu religion because of the Jagan government.

Bonda Uma has asked all the TDP members to take part in the protests, and to protest in front of various temples, throughout a week. Sundays in front of Sun God temples, Mondays in front of Shiva temples, Tuesdays in front of Lord Hanuman’s temples, Wednesdays in front of Aiyappa temples, Thursdays in front of Saibaba temples, Fridays in front of a Goddess’s temple and Saturdays in front of Vishnu temples.

On the other hand, AP Endowments Minister Vellampalli Srinivas Rao said that no disturbance should be caused to regular devotees, and that the protests should take place in a peaceful manner. Rao also said that no one would be spared if there was any commotion in front of the temples.

A CBI probe has been ordered by the Chief Minister on the Antarvedi Chariot burning, and a sum of Rs. 95 Lakhs has been announced for the making of a new Chariot.
