PM Narendra Modi draped in a traditional dhoti-kurta attended the bhoomi pooja and the foundation stone laying ceremony for Ram temple. He was grandly welcomed at Saketh helipad in Ayodhya by UP CM Yogi Adityanath among other officials.
Special pujas were conducted at Bhadrachalam Ramalayam in the backdrop of Prime Minister Narendra Modi paying homage to the land for the construction of the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya.
Sthanacharya Sthalasai and Chief Priest Sitaramanujacharya led the worship of Sitaramachandra in the Beda Mandapam. Ghee, sandalwood sticks and other pooja related items were offered in a specially set up homa to mark the ceremony. The priests said that they hope the construction work of Ayodhya Ram Mandir to be completed successfully
While Vice President Venkaiah Naidu and his wife paid homage to Lord Rama at their official residence to celebrate the ocassion. Later, the Vice President recited the Ramayana along with his wife Usha Naidu. Venkaiah Naidu shared on Twitter that the staff of the Vice President’s House also participated in the reading of the Ramayana.
