Telugu Desham party was in distraught after AP Governor Biswa Bhushan Hari Chandan gave clearance for the AP Capital decentralization bill. They are very desperate to tilt the momentum in their favor at the earliest. However, most of their chances have been blocked by Jagan Mohan Reddy and now the CBN & co seem to go with their main weapon – the AP High court.
It is known that Jagan’s aggressive nature and unconstitutional attitude tastes bitter for the High Court. Now, CBN wants to raise a point that irks the high court badly. The point is that Jagan intentionally avoided the formation of a select committee and he didn’t even care about the orders given by the council chairman. As this issue is related to the capital decentralization bill, they may ask a stay on Governor’s approval.
Previously, the same issue was brought before High court and the AP government escaped from the hearing by saying that the bill was being sent to select committee and there is no point for the opposition to reach the judiciary when the problem is going to get solved in the select committee. However, Jagan tactically delayed the same process citing some technical reasons and this is the same point that TDP is going to raise in the High Court. This is nothing but manipulating and cheating the judiciary system intentionally, as per the opposition.
However, there is no guarantee whether CBN succeeds in pleasing the court on this point or not but it seems like the this is the only weapon left in the armory of the opposition.
