The craze for item numbers is on the rise. Top leading actresses are giving their nods to do special songs in the films as the producers are shelling out huge sums. If the latest reports are to be believed, maverick director Shankar is making plans to rope in Payal Rajput in his next film Indian 2.
It is heard that Indian 2 needs a special dance number and Shankar decided to bring Payal Rajput on the board for this item song. On the other hand, speculations are rife that the tough taskmaster SS Rajamouli is also making plans to rope in Rakul Preet Singh for an item number in the highly-anticipated film RRR. However, an official confirmation is awaited in this regard.
Meanwhile, set in the late 1800s and early 1900s, RRR stars Jr NTR and Ram Charan in the lead roles. Jr. NTR will be seen in a rebellious character called Komaram Bheem who fought the Nizam rulers for the rights of the Adivasis living in the forests of Telangana. Ram Charan will be seen in the powerful Alluri Sitarama Raju role. This high-budget film is being directed by Rajamouli and bankrolled by DVV Danayya.
And Indian 2 stars Kamal Haasan, Kajal Aggarwal, Rakul Preet Singh, Aishwarya Rajesh, and Priya Bhavani Shankar as the leading ladies in the film. Siddharth is playing the role of Kamal Haasan’s grandson in the movie whereas Vidyut Jamwal will be seen as the antagonist. Lyca Productions is bankrolling this high-budget project. Anirudh Ravichander is the music composer.
